The Project
The whole development will occupy some 600 hectares. When finished
the entire complex will consist of two 18 hole Championship Golf
courses which have been designed by Dave Thomás. There will also
be a village with all the necessary commercial areas; a Spanish
Pueblo, an hotel of some 150 rooms, with all the latest facilities;
also tennis courts, a driving range golf academy, horse riding facilities
and football pitches for off season training practice which will
ensure a complete range of services and activities.
The Development
Resort Development Associates have been able to create an American
style resort with the majority of housing development located on
island areas within the Golf course, creating plenty of front line
villa plots. The development will be managed in stages so that each
"phase" is completed before moving on to the next island
or locale to avoid any noise or disturbance to existing occupiers.
The completed development will consist of some 1,800 homes.
The creative philosophy behind Hacienda del Alamo ensures a complete
range of accommodation for sale ranging from condominiums, bungalows,
semi-detached and individual houses at discounted prices, designed
to fit all requirements. All the plots have a particular house type
assigned to it. When choosing a plot the purchaser will see the
house type and floor plan allocated to that individual location.
History
The site was purchase by ARMILAR a major development company based
in Barcelona who have combined with La Caixa Catalunia one of Spain's
largest savings banks to create a management company combining the
highest level of development skills with the complete financial
solvency required to ensure a secure future for potential residents
and investors.
Resort Development Associates have been retained as planning consultants
and management consultants with an exclusive sales marketing agreement.
RDA and staff have a wealth of experience acquired in other similar
ventures and will look after investors every requirements whilst
ensuring standards are maintained throughout to the highest degree.
Andrew Lubbock has fourteen years experience in property development
and management consultancy in the UK and is part of the RDASL team.
Future
In the summer of 2002 work commenced on site, after the appropriate
planning consents and guarantees were in place. Pre-launch sales
were such that phase 1B was advanced in order to fulfil the extraordinary
demand from investors who heard of and visited the site whilst in
the area. Show houses are currently under construction as the implementation
of the site infrastructure is developed and continues so that by
December 2002 the road work throughout the entire initial development
area will be completed.
The first 18 hole golf course has a guaranteed completion date
in April 2004 though the planning and development stage would suggest
December 2003. House construction commences in October 2002 and
for Phase 1 should be completed by the end of 2003. The expertise
and management skills on site are of the highest level so that along
with the speed and efficiency, quality controls and design standards
remain the highest priority.
